Emma Pye Joins RSTA Executive Committee as PYE Backs Industry Awards

We’re proud to share that Emma Pye has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the Road Surface Treatments Association (RSTA) and that PYE is a proud sponsor of the RSTA Awards.

Both roles reflect something we’ve always believed at PYE: that being part of this industry means helping to shape it, not just operate within it.

About the RSTA

Established in 2008, the RSTA is the focal point for the UK road surface maintenance industry. It exists to raise awareness of the range and benefits of road and airfield surface treatments, champion safe working and sustainability, and promote workforce competence, professionalism and best practice across the supply chain.

Its membership spans national and regional contractors, local authority DLOs, materials and equipment suppliers, test houses and consultants. It is the only route through which members’ operatives and supervisors can obtain endorsed CSCS cards under National Highway Sector Scheme 13.

In short: if it shapes how Britain’s roads are surfaced, the RSTA is in the room.

Emma on the Executive Committee

Emma’s appointment to the Executive Committee means PYE now has a direct voice at the table where industry standards, safety policy and best practice are debated and set.

“Joining the Executive Committee is a real privilege,” Emma said. “The RSTA does vital work for our industry. From safety and sustainability to making sure the next generation of operatives are properly trained and recognised. I’m looking forward to contributing to that work, and bringing PYE’s experience on the ground into the conversation.”

Sponsoring the RSTA Awards

Alongside Emma’s committee role, PYE is delighted to sponsor the RSTA Awards, the industry’s annual celebration of the people, teams and innovations driving UK road surface treatments forward.

Sponsorship is a natural fit for us. The RSTA Awards shine a light on the craft, care and competence that too often goes unseen on the network and recognising that work matters.

A shared commitment

Both the sponsorship and Emma’s committee role are part of the same commitment: supporting the industry we work in, championing the standards we believe in, and backing the people who deliver the work every day.

We’re looking forward to the year ahead.
