It is especially fitting that on World Environment Day, Multevo announced their successful achievement of PAS 2080 Certification — the globally recognised standard for managing and reducing whole life carbon in infrastructure delivery.
As part of a rigorous two-stage audit, Multevo demonstrated clear evidence of their carbon reduction practices, including:
• Recording and monitoring of carbon across their operations
• A reduction plan and targets to measure progress
• A robust carbon management framework with innovation at the core
Their achievement reflects a deep-rooted commitment to sustainability across the highways, construction, and transport sectors. As a multi-faceted contractor, this milestone strengthens Multevo’s ability to support clients and local authorities on their journey to net zero.
I was proud to support Multevo during their stage 2 audits and was especially honoured to receive this mention in their announcement: “A special thanks goes to Emma Pye of PYE Management for all her support along the way.”
As part of our collaboration, I helped develop a carbon calculator tool for Multevo’s patch repair process, allowing them to quantify and actively reduce emissions associated with the Multevo Method.
Beyond certification, the business has launched industry-first innovations like the Hydrovo, a dual-fuel maintenance machine capable of reducing diesel use by up to 95%, and continues to lead in national sustainability programmes such as ADEPT Live Labs 2.
As Stuart Allen, Multevo’s Director of Governance & Operational Standards, put it:
“Achieving PAS2080 certified status has meant a great deal to Multevo and myself. The standard focuses on discussing carbon throughout the supply chain, not just the measurement of it… triggering collaborative discussions with customers and supply chain on how carbon could be reduced.”
This is a fantastic achievement for a business that’s not only talking about sustainability — but actively embedding it into every level of decision-making and delivery.
Congratulations again to the whole Multevo team. A great way to mark World Environment Day, and a significant step forward for greener infrastructure.
